Combined with gas detection units like the X-am 5000 and 5600, you have a unique, state of the art system that can detect and measure up to six different gases giving this system a wide variety of applications.

The result is unparalleled safety when combined with personal air monitors in a hazardous environment where gas hazards may be present.

A bright green LED ring is used to indicate when there are no hazardous gases present in the atmosphere, which will turn red along with a loud alarm when gas is detected.

The Draeger X-zone 5000 can detect gas from every angle and these units can be used together with multiple area monitors as they are wirelessly interconnectable.

This feature allows a wireless fence line to be rapidly deployed when needed for monitoring a larger area using the mother unit and multiple “daughter” devices; the mother unit will be the central alarm system the daughter units extend the monitored area.

Continuous monitoring of confined spaces and difficult to reach areas can be easily monitored from a distance of up to 45m by means of the optional integrated pump unit. This allows round the clock monitoring while the pump is operating.

Extremely long battery life of 60-120 hours continual operation, (depending on battery unit in use) along with extensive configuration abilities, non contact charging and Ex-zone 0 approval make this the unit of choice for safety in the workplace.

During Ex-zone 1 external work the patented accessory switch on/off box will provide automatic cut off of power to say, a welder in the event of a gas alarm.
