The MSA S-CAP fire escape hood is based around a bright yellow high visibility hood that has a wide viewing lens area.
Inside the hood is a fitted nose cup connected to a multi purpose filter allowing protection for the user against Carbon monoxide, and a wide range of other harmful substances.
The head harness has been designed to be adjusted to different head sizes and the materials are flame (short) and heat resistant, it has a cotton neck seal and overall exceeds the requirements of EN 403:2004 (revised European standard).
This fire hood gives protection as soon as it is donned and will give protection for up to 15 minutes (dependant on contamination concentration)
These units are very easy to put on quickly, simple and quick to handle, permitting safe breathing protection as well as superb protection for the user’s eyes, face and head.
Fully EN 403:2004 approved, they are also suitable for people wearing glasses, offering a wide area of vision, low breathing resistance with a high performance filter.
